Amendments are a constant feature throughout the life of a port facility or vessel. Changes to the configuration of a vessel or an alteration to the layout of a facility require immediate amendments to a security plan.
2008 is also the 5th anniversary for most MTSA plans. According to 33CFR facility and vessel plans are valid for 5 years from the date of approval and therefore will most likely be requirintg review and update in 2008. At the same time TWIC requirements will need to be included in the relevant plan or in the case of vessels, with a TWIC Annex.
Mandatory internal, independent or contracting government audits are also a feature of the ISPS regulations that Securewest International assists clients with as part of a comprehensive amendment and audit update service.
In conjunction with audits and amendments, Securewest International can create scenario driven drills and exercises that meet all ISPS and MTSA mandatory requirements.
